Increase System Performance

Controls are the operation center of any heating system and A.I.M. features a wide selection of controls ranging from the most basic to the most advanced. The controls are also very important aspects of the comfort and efficiency of a heating system.

A.I.M. produces and distributes controls to perform a variety of different tasks. The unit shown above is a Control Box and it can operate up to 10 heating zones. It will also send a signal to activate the boiler, Circulator Switching Relay or both. The Reset Control, shown at the right, is afixed to a 3-way Mixing Valve and modulates the water temperature to the heating system to increase comfort and efficiency. More detailed information on each of the controls is available in the product catalog.

Control Box
The Control Box is a sophisticated Zone Valve Operator controlling mechanism that is very simple to install. Each Control Box is capable of operating up to 10 Thermostats and 10 Zone Valve Operators. It also has an internal low voltage end switch to engage an external boiler control or circulator switching relay. All connections within the Control Box are secured with snap lock terminals to ensure positive contact and eliminate fumbling with small screws.

Taco Zone Valve Controls 1 Zone
Taco Switching Relays activate the circulator operation by making an electrical contact. These relays are equipped with priority operation (excluding 1 zone) to ensure ample domestic water. They are controlled either directly by a room thermostat or by a Control Box (which is activated by room thermostats).

Outdoor Reset Actuator for 3-Way Mixing Valve
An Outdoor Reset Actuator operates the 3-Way Mixing Valve automatically. The Actuator is supplied with both outdoor and water temperature sensors. When the outside temperature rises or falls the Actuator will increase or decrease the water temperature accordingly.
