MANIFOLDS

Stainless Steel Manifolds are imported from Switzerland by AIM the exclusive importer in the US. This quality product is Manufacturet by Taconova being a well known company in flow controls throughout the world.
AIM is proud to distribute this great Product that will serve you for many years.
The Manifold is a set that consists of a supply and a return Manifold complete with ball Valves and purge valves. The return Manifold has flow meters that indicate the water flow in every loop. For fast and uniform balancing of a system turn the flow meter clockwise or counter clock wise so that all of the red floats read the same rate on all the meters.
For optimum performance of the heating system, TacoNova has developed unique Electro-thermal actuators which istall quickly on the manifold. Simply unscrew the shut-off wheel valve on the feed manifold and screw in the NOVADRIVE.
How does it work? Any deviation from the nominal room temperature causes an appropriate stroke movement of the valve. The thermostat and the actuators operate according to the "On/Off" principle. Variable rythmic opening and closing, depending on the heat demand, also effects an almost continuous control characteristic.
The most critical aspects of efficient radiant floor heating are purging the air out and balancing the flow of the system. The TacoNova manifold enables the user to easily accomplish this. Each loop can be segregated and purged seperately thereby removing air completely before switching to the next loop and avoiding cross contamination of air from another source.
To purge the system begin by closing all valves on the feed manifold, exept the red handled shut-off valve on the end. Next close all the valves on the return manifold by turning the flow valves clockwise until they seat firmly against the manifold and close the red handled shut-off valve. Then remove the threaded cap on the underside of the return manifold and connect a drain hose leading to a large bucket. Make sure the red handled shut-off valve on the return manifold is tighly closed. Commence purging by opening the valves for loop no.1 on the feed and return manifold and turn on the water supply. Watch the water flow into the bucket and take note of the air bubbles. When the bucket becomes near full, empty it and continue to purge. Keep watching for bubbles or air pockets coming through. It can take more than 20 minutes per loop. When no more bubbles are observed, wait another 2 minutes if no further bubbles are observed during those 2 minutes close both valves. Open valves for loop no.2 and repeat same as for the first loop. For additional loops repeat the procedure until all loops are completely purge free of air.
Now open all valves on both manifolds including ball valves with the red handles. You are now ready to balance the system and install the 24v. Actuators.
